Stranded migrants protest over failure to extend visas

 

Bangladeshi migrants who work in Malaysia have staged protest in Dhaka to press home their demand of extending visas and returning to Malaysia.

The Malaysian returnees gathered in front of Press Club on Monday morning (November 2).

Meanwhile, a protester said, “I am passing a miserable life. I have returned home in March due to the coronavirus pandemic. The date of the visa of mine has expired already.”

Sources said many Bangladeshi migrants who work in Malaysia are now stuck. They are now holding a protest program and pressed several demands which include- extending their visas in consultation with the Malaysian government and allowing them to return  Malaysia.
