15 more die of coronavirus at RMCH

 

15 more people have died from coronavirus infections and coronavirus-like symptoms while undergoing treatment at the corona unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).

Confirming the matter this morning, RMCH Director Brig Gen Shamim Yazdani said the deaths were reported in the last 24 hours starting from 8:00am on Thursday (July 15) to 8:00am today, Friday (July 16).

Of the 15 deaths, eight were coronavirus positive, two coronavirus negative and eight died of symptoms similar to that of coronavirus, he said.

Of the dead, 10 were in Rajshahi district, one in Naogaon, two in Natore, one in Pabna and one in Meherpur, he added.

With them, the number of Covid-19 deaths in the hospital rose to 282 in 16 days of this month.

A total of 354 people died at the corona unit of the hospital in the month of June.
