Golden jubilee of independence celebrated at BAU

The golden jubilee of the great Independence Day has been celebrated at the Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) in a colorful manner following health rules. The day’s program began with the hoisting of the national flag at important installations of the university at sunrise on Friday (March 26).

At 8 o'clock in the morning, BAU Vice-Chancellor Professor Lutful Hasan inaugurated the day by hoisting the national flag. Later, he paid floral tributes to the memorial of the liberation war. After that, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the martyrs and special prayers were offered for the forgiveness of their souls.

Students-teachers, officials-employees of the university, social, political organizations, members of various art-literature and cultural organizations of the university including journalists' association laid wreaths remembering the martyrs.

BAU Teachers' Association organized a discussion meeting on the significance of the great Independence Day virtually.
