Zia’s gallantry title being cancelled

 The gallantry title of ‘Bir Uttam’ conferred on BNP’s founder Ziaur Rahman is being cancelled.

Jatiya Muktijoddha Council (JAMUK) has taken the decision at a meeting. Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque presided over the meeting.

Director-General of JAMUK Md Zahurul Islam Rhohel confirmed the news.

The council has also decided to suspend the state-awarded titles for four self-proclaimed Bangabandhu killers. They are Shariful Haque Dalim, Mosleh Uddin, M Rashed Chowdhury and SHMB Noor Chowdhury.

Md Zahurul Islam Rhohel said that they will send the proposal to the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs and they will make the final decision.
