Capital market road show begins in Dubai today
A four-day long road show titled ‘Rising of Bengal Tiger: Potentials of Bangladesh Capital Markets’ begins today (Tuesday) at Dubai in UAE.
The road show is being held to attract foreign investors and non-resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) to the country's stock market.
The stock market regulator - Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) is organising the road show, the first of its kind in outside the country.
The road show is scheduled for February 9 to February 12 where series of seminars, bilateral and multilateral meetings will be held in different places in Dubai, UAE.
Land Minister of Bangladesh M Saifuzzaman Chowdhury will inaugurate the road show as the chief guest at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Dubai.
The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) chairman Professor Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam will preside over the inaugural ceremony.
The BSEC has plans to arrange similar road shows in London, Rome, Toronto, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai and Tokyo.
