Varsity student drowns in Cox’s Bazar beach

 

A student of East-West University drowned in the Bay of Bengal at adjacent to Seagull Hotel on the sea beach in Cox’s Bazar on Friday afternoon.

The deceased was known as Fatin Itmam Mahmud, 23, son of Mahmudul Hossain. The victim was a third year student of East-West University.

Confirming the matter tourist police ASP Mohammad Mahiuddin Ahmed said, Fatin was washed away by strong waves while he was taking a bath along with friends around 4:00 pm.

Being rescued by tourist police members, he was taken to sadar hospital where he was declared dead.
