IGP warns against rumour over coronavirus

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammad Javed Patwary has warned against rumours centering coronavirus.

He said, “Actions would be taken if someone spreads rumour on social media centering coronavirus outbreak.”

IGP came up with the warning while speaking at a programme at Police Headquarters on Sunday afternoon.

He said police are regularly monitoring all social sites including Facebook. Actions have already been taken against those were found involved in spreading rumours over coronavirus.

He further said we should stay at home and follow all health instructions made by the government over coronavirus. Nobody should go outside of home unless emergency.
