ACC seizes properties of Badal and his wife Soma
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has seized all the movable and immovable properties of former IFIC Bank director Lutfur Rahman Badal and his wife Soma Alam Rahman over the share market scam with the permission court.
ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the news on Sunday.
The anti-corruption body took the move as they, being sued by ACC, are allegedly trying to hand over the properties, he added.
According to ACC sources, Badal belongs to moveable and immoveable properties of Tk 130.27 crore while his wife around 137.57 crore.
On May 28, 2017, ACC deputy director Sheikh Abdus Salam filed the case against Badal and Soma with Ramna police over amassing wealth illegally.
