Mobile banking suspended for 3 days
Mobile banking services will remain suspended for 48 hours from Friday for the national election scheduled for December 30.
Bangladesh Bank (BB) has taken the decision as per directives of the Election Commission (EC) to shut all kinds of mobile banking services on the occasion of the general election. It issued a circular on Thursday.
As per the circular, financial transaction through Mobile Financial Service (MFS) will remain suspended from 5:00pm on Friday to 5:00pm on Sunday.
However, any MFS account holder can withdraw upto Tk 5,000 from his/her own account every day from December 28-30, it said.
